A SPECIAL pop-up cafe event just for dogs has been held in Southend.
On Sunday, Revolution in Southend played host to the eagerly anticipated Pup Up Cafe – an event supported by the Echo.
The morning session catered specifically to dachshunds, and the afternoon session was dedicated to pugs. There was then an all-breeds finale to cap off the day’s festivities.
As the dogs posed in the special photo booth and made new friends, their owners had the opportunity to mingle, swap stories, and deepen their understanding of their special breeds.
The event was organized by Pup Up Cafe, renowned for hosting breed-specific gatherings across the UK, and Southend had the pleasure of being the latest stop on their tour.
Revolution bar buzzed with excitement as more than 150 guests, both human and furry, met to participate in the fun.
Marcus Alford, the event organizer, said: “We have been running these events now for ten years and the breed specific sessions are a great way for anyone wanting to learn more about the breed to meet up.
“You get a chance to meet other dog lovers and learn from local experts.”
Organizers add that for both dogs and humans alike, the Pup Up Cafe at Revolution in Southend was a memorable experience.
They say it highlighted the special bond between pets and their owners and provided a welcoming space for the canine community to come together and celebrate their shared love for all things dog related.
The Pup Up Cafe is set to return to Southend later this year, with a provisional date set for June 23.
These events serve up unlimited treats and “puppachinos” for every dog in attendance, with plenty of Southend dog businesses on hand to offer goods and treats.
