Romford’s first pop-up dog cafe is set to open in the town centre, with an agility course, a competition and a pet photographer.
A ‘Pup Up Cafe’, organised by the touring events company, will be set up outside Tollgate House in Market Place on September 14 this year.
Owners and their dogs can attend from 11am until 4pm and the first 50 puppies to visit will receive a free goodie bag.
There will also be a professional photographer and competitions such as ‘best dressed dog’.
The event was announced by the Romford BID, which seeks to bring business and investment into the east London town.
Julie Frost, Romford BID director, said: “If you love dogs, this is the event for you.
“We’re hoping to see dogs dressed in their very best outfits, ready to win some prizes,” she added.
An agility course with ball pits, toys and tunnels will be included as part of the event.
Unlimited dog treats will be given out along with “puppiccinnos”, and competitions such as “best dressed dog” will run.
Children will also be able to get their faces painted for for free.
No tickets or pre-booking is required, Romford BID added.
