Pub in Leicester hosting dog day for friendly pooches to get to know each other, dog-lovers who don’t have animals of their own are also welcome to attend and pet some pooches!
Dozens of dogs from around the county will be getting together to sip puppuccinos and socialise at the next Pup Up Cafe event in Leicester. The get-together will be hosted by the Local Hero pub in Freemen’s Common, Leicester, with up to 50 dogs expected at each session.
There will be two sessions for dachshunds only, and then an afternoon session for all friendly dogs to attend. Pup Up Cafe have been running the dog days in Leicester for the past five years and the events include games, a fancy dress competition, a ball pit and photography sessions.
Dogs can attend for free and tickets for dog owners cost £10.50 each. Those attending without a dog pay between £13 and £15.50 – or £5 for under-eights – and tickets are limited for the dog-less.
Both events take place on Saturday, June 15, with two 90-minute sessions for dachshunds beginning at 10am and noon, then the all-breeds session the same day between 2pm and 3.30pm.
The organizers said in a statement about the event: “Here at Pup Up Cafe we love dachshunds, and we also love Leicester. It’s the place to be if you have a dachshund and love to socialise with other sausages.”
